Melbourne Art Trams takes as its inspiration the original Transporting Art project, which from 1978 to 1993 saw iconic local artists the likes of Mirka Mora, Howard Arkley and Reg Mombassa transforming historic W-class trams with their vivid art.

Each year one Transporting Art  tram is brought back to life. In 2019 I worked with Lesley Dumbrell to reinvent her 1986 painted tram, selecting and connecting multiple panels to redraw in Illustrator to fit the dimensions of a contemporary tram.
